Phishing Campaign Reports & Analytics

The Reports feature helps you measure the effectiveness of phishing simulations over a selected time period. Use it to review overall outcomes, drill into individual campaign runs, identify users who need training, and compare trends over time.

Where to find it

  • Navigation: Phishing → Reports
  • URL: /phishing/reports

Select a date range

At the top of the page you can choose a time window using:

  • Quick presets (e.g. Last 7 Days, This Month, Last 12 Months)
  • Start Date / End Date inputs for a custom range

All tabs update based on the selected date range.

Tabs

Summary

The Summary tab shows overall performance for the selected date range:

  • Defense Rate: Percentage of recipients who did not attempt a login after receiving a simulation email. In AutoPhish, this is calculated as \(100\% - \text{Login Attempt Rate}\).
  • Campaign Metrics: Total campaigns/executions, emails sent, opens, clicks.
  • Security & Training: Login attempts, reported emails, training sign-ups/completions.
  • Interaction Breakdown: Doughnut charts for opens, clicks, login attempts, and training completion status.

Campaign Executions

The Campaign Executions tab lists each campaign run in the selected date range and summarizes results per execution (opens/clicks/logins). Use View Details to drill into a specific execution.

Targets Needing Education

The Targets Needing Education tab helps you identify users who interacted with simulations in risky ways (especially credential submissions).

  • Min. Login Attempts: Adjust this filter to focus on users with repeated risky behavior.
  • Show: Expand a user row to review the interaction details (what happened and when).

If your company has Anonymous Mode enabled, this tab uses anonymized identifiers instead of showing individual email addresses.

The Trends tab visualizes how key metrics change over time.

  • Metric: Choose what to chart (Open Rate, Click Rate, Login Attempt Rate, Report Rate, Defense Rate, Emails Sent).
  • Granularity: Auto / Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly.
  • Comparison: Optionally compare to the same period last year.
  • Rolling average: Smooths short-term spikes (when enabled).

Download Audit Report (PDF)

From the Summary tab, click Download Audit Report to generate a PDF for the currently selected date range. The PDF includes:

  • The report summary metrics
  • Snapshot images of the on-screen charts
  • A campaign execution details table

Tips & troubleshooting

  • No data showing: Confirm the selected date range includes campaign executions. (Reports are based on executions whose start dates fall within the selected window.)
  • Defense Rate looks “too high”: Defense Rate reflects the share of recipients who did not attempt a login; it is not the same as “no one clicked”.
  • Targets missing / anonymized: Your company may have Anonymous Mode enabled, which reduces or removes user-identifying detail in reports.
