How to enable Anonymous Mode

Anonymous Mode switches your company to pseudonymised reporting. It lets you run phishing simulations while protecting the privacy of individuals: reports don’t show target e-mail addresses – people appear only as tracking IDs, and the summary gives you aggregated figures, such as how many people opened, clicked or entered data.

What changes when Anonymous Mode is on

• Reports show tracking IDs instead of target e-mail addresses.
• Entered usernames are not shown.
• People in target lists created from report filters appear as tracking IDs, and editing and exporting those lists is not available.
• Interactions are shown per tracking ID only, so they are not linked to a named person.

When should you use it?

Use Anonymous Mode if your organisation wants to measure security awareness as a whole without looking at individuals – for example when you work with a works council, or because of internal privacy policies or agreements.

How to enable Anonymous Mode

1. Open Settings from the top navigation.
2. Go to Manage Companies and click Edit next to your company.
3. In the Anonymous Mode section, tick Enable Anonymous Mode.
4. Click Save Company Details.

Only company admins can enable Anonymous Mode.

Good to know

• Anonymous Mode applies company-wide: once enabled, all reports of this company are pseudonymised.
• It cannot be switched off by yourself. Once enabled, the checkbox is locked. If you need to disable it again, contact AutoPhish support.
• If you manage several companies, enable it separately for each company.
